ngDesk is a free, cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) platform that combines automated ticketing and multi-channel support to help streamline and improve your customer support process.

Like its competitors, ngDesk has many standard features such as lead management, deals/opportunities tracker and storage, reporting dashboards, and sales cycle reports. However, it does lack many important features including suite and third-party integrations, shared team email, kanban visualization, a mobile app, and the ability to send bulk emails – all of which can be found in our top-ranked free CRM software, Hubspot and Freshsales.

In terms of capability, ngDesk is comparable to other free CRM software, Capsule and Really Simple Systems. Really Simple Systems has a few more features than ngDesk, including integration with Outlook 365 and Zapier. However, ngDesk is fully customizable, allowing your business to scale without the need to pay for a premium plan, as with the aforementioned platforms. It also has an application programming interface (API) for developers.

Aside from its excellent ticketing system, ngDesk offers a range of uncommon features, such as ad management, multi-pipeline support, sales campaign management, and email metrics.

This software may not be able to integrate with your social media or payroll platforms off the bat, but for a completely free cloud-based platform, it is easy-to-use and has most of the requirements to enhance your customer support initiatives.

I personally would recommend ngDesk as they have a lot of features and a very reliable support staff and it’s completely free! All the features that they are offering and the features that are about to be rolled out and the support that they provide is phenomenal and the fact that they are offering all these services for free is an added bonus. They have a good ticketing system, they provide scheduling, escalations, monitoring, triggers, service level agreements and most importantly customizability. Users can customize everything from colors of their sub-domain to the way their agents and users can access the system, it’s just amazing that they offer so much for free. It’s just too good to be true and yet it is.

I’ve tried some of the paid solutions, but the most fully-featured free solution currently out there is ngDesk.They have all the usual features: being able to create tickets all of the usual ways (over the web, through configurable emails, and on their app), and a ton of extras as well.The other things I like about it are:Fully configurable user permissions. I can have multiple admins and unlimited agents for FREE!The call schedules feature that pages whichever Agent is set to be on call to respond to a support request ticket.Triggers, which allow me to add custom actions when any event comes in .

What do I recommend? ngDesk. Why?100% Free for unlimited agents; many features like: Ticket Management, Instant Notifications, Satisfaction surveys, Live analytics, IBM’s Watson Tone Analyzer (aka IBM’s sentiment analysis), CSV exporting; They’re adding new free features all the time like: free live chat, free IVR support, free Active Directory and unlimited free 1-on-1 screen shares.

I suggest for tickets ngDesk, which is free, cloud based, and worked really well when we tested it.
