BrightPay is loaded with useful features like automated taxes, built-in deductions, reimbursements, and direct deposit for employee paychecks. However, it does not support workers compensation payments or 1099/W2 form preparation. BrightPay offers email and phone support, but no 24/7 support.
BrightPay is also equipped with several nice-to-have features that users will enjoy, such as off-cycle payroll, a net-to-gross calculator, and collaboration capabilities so that you and your team can work together on payroll.
BrightPay has a wealth of features that any payroll administrator would expect from a good software platform, but it does not offer expense integration or lifetime accounts that highly ranked programs like Gusto and Zenefits have.
While BrightPay may not meet the needs of a large business, it is an affordable and dependable solution when you consider the number of features that it has and the fact that it is available in a free version. CheckMark, a closely ranked solution, costs $429.00 per license.

I've been using BrightPay for some time now and I think it's excellent. It is extremely good value for money when you consider the fact that auto enrolment and CIS come as standard. Tim is correct though it isn't cloud based software it's desktop based. Give the free trial on the website a go.

Brightpay is the best payroll software our practice has ever used. It has been excellent for auto enrolment and on the odd occasion we've needed to contact them, the customer service team have been exceptional. We've been using them for 2 years and can't fault the software in any way.

You can't go wrong with BrightPay, the software is excellent, very user friendly and it continues to evolve over time. I've never experienced an issue with the reports, in fact, I find them good. If I happen to need something more detailed or specific, I use the report writer to create a new report. To my mind, nothing beats actually using it yourself, so if there is a free trial available, give it a go. Best of luck!
