I will recommend RapidMiner. It is a drag-and-drop machine learning application that simplifies the process of training. The user interface offered by RapidMiner is pretty amazing. You will find a nice visual workflow design too.The dataset can be loaded and stored from/to various sources such as xl, csv, and many database systems.I think RapidMiner has made a lot of improvements since 2013. Now this application has been integrated with deep neural network, cloud-based computation etc. You can find it in this url ( Lightning Fast Data Science Platform | RapidMiner). It is an open source, you can use their library in your code.If you download and use free application, of course there will be some limitations such as number of data you can compute, functions etc. But as far as I know, rapidminer is still the best application for training simulation.

I would also recommend RapidMiner for a nicely simplified but powerful environment if you’re pressed for time.

Tried #RapidMiner for some basic #Analytics and was stunned by the versatility of WYSIWYG applications in #AI and #ML. It took 5 mins to clean the data, label, split, train, test, evaluate.

It is kind of slow and you are limited to what you can do use Python unless you are doing something with ANN then use Torch7. If you are doing something statistics heavy use R.

Checkout Rapidminer and Knime for great examples of box'n'arrows applied to machine learning pipelines. I've used Rapidminer a fair bit and they really have a great model including a dynamic number of inputs/outputs from a single box and ability to make boxes that encapsulate pipelines made from other boxes. I was able to do an order of magnitude more experimentation using this visual style than if I had tried to script it in code. I'm a software engineer who loves to program so the fact that I'd pick this tool for that job over programming I think says something.
