I don't know too much about how to work within the system, but you can call Global and they're pretty helpful. I do know about how the software fits into IT. It runs with a Pervasive backend DB, so if you're running Peachtree/Sage50 be wary about changing ANYTHING. The server side stuff has to be on a different server than Peachtree/Sage50 and we had to have another version of Pervasive for workstations (so three versions in all).

Global Shop tries to train via classroom environments in their home office with many companies in the room at the same time. In recent years they have a hard time delivering on quality consultants for one on one training. So expect for it to be difficult to find the answer and consulting you need. They also are on a poor db platform, in my opinion. Pervasive SQL. It has some downsides but they've also implemented it poorly at Global too.Yes, I know you want to do something quick for the new purchase but you may want to look at long term options too. Best of luck.
