Citrix ShareFile is awesome! They offer on-premise or hosted version.

ShareFile has an Outlook plugin that will convert attachments to a secure link. You can have anonymous retrieval or require creation of an account and logging into ShareFile to retrieve the attachment. You can limit the number of downloads, expire the link after a certain time period. You can also create a link for people to securely send files to you. Overall pretty flexible.

They also have a pretty decent web app and desktop sync client similar to Dropbox. ShareFile also integrates with e-signing, DRM, and workflow.

I would also recommend ShareFile in most situations where you need granular control and an easy to use web interface. I have had some issues with the sync client but for sharing data with customers it works great. You only pay for the employee users you setup, you can setup unlimited customer users.

I would personally recommend ShareFile, we use it daily and it's a wonderful service for sending large files. The outlook plug in is the best feature in our office.

Great product, we have been using the on-premise for almost a year now. We are slowing trying to phase out the other vendors (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc) because we cant guarantee privacy.

We have had some configuration issues here and there but their Techsupport is very helpful.
