We've used PR Underground twice recently to distribute press releases and they seem to be effective. Best part is that the cost is only $39 per release for pay as you go. They also have more robust plans if you are going to do a minimum of 3 per month I think.

They have refused two releases of mine on legal grounds. I think they have a problem with getting competent legal help. First they were afraid to release my story about Donald Trump, who as a public figure has hardly any libel or defamation protection. Then, this week they won't send my release about pardoned felons who ARE NOW DEAD because they "can't report on legal cases"(?) So I found another service who gladly sent the release.
