Unlike many scheduling software systems, HelmBot is a complete business management suite with a lot more than just scheduling and payments. This does come with a higher price tag though, with their entry-level plan coming in at $95.00 per month — a steep price for independent contractors just starting out.

Helmbot has everything you would need to start and run a successful service-based business. In addition to the industry-standard features of calendar syncing, class bookings, marketing automation, reminders, and membership programs, the software includes staff scheduling, inventory management, waitlisting, project management, gift cards, and more.

Pros:

• Accept online or point of sale (POS) payments.
• Find out how your business is doing with up-to-date reporting and analytics.
• HelmBot can automate your marketing and send out SMS and email appointment reminders.
• Schedule staff shifts, manage hours, and track overtime.
• Keep your stock levels up to date with the inventory management system.
• Send out waivers or use a tablet to get documents digitally signed for each class.
• Sell memberships and gift cards, or create your own rewards programs.

Cons:

• The software does not include a dedicated booking page, website integration, or social media integration.
• HelmBot has a comparatively high starting price and limits the number of users for each plan.
• There is no free plan for single users.
• There is no phone or live chat support.

Reputation:

HelmBot enjoys a 5 out of 5-star rating on G2, based on the opinion of 18 people. Users were impressed by the comprehensive functionality of the software and the rapid response from customer support. Some reviewers did mention that the pricing was a bit steep and would have preferred a tiered system with fewer features and a lower monthly fee.
