What are some Fieldwire alternatives?
Probably one of the best iOS apps for construction is Fieldwire, a field management application. Fieldwire allows project leaders, superintendents and foremen to delegate jobs even when they’re not on the field. Users can directly add tasks onto the project’s drawing with categories, photos and anything else workers need to accomplish the task. It’s a versatile application that any project leader could use.
I recently found an app I presented to my company that is super easy and is sort of an all-in-one in regards to plan viewer, issue tracker. First of all, it's cheap! Compared to BIM360 that is. A way more intuitive approach to issue tracking, iOS feel to it. Lastly, it autoOCR's your plans when you upload them, as long as they are in standard format. It's free for up to 3 users.
Fieldwire is what I use to view drawings on my cell phone or SurfacePro during inspections. It's so fast at rendering and it hyperlinks details automatically. Best part is that it's FREE if you keep less than 250 or so drawings uploaded.
We use Fieldwire and love it.
Our company uses FieldWire, which is something similar to plangird. It's great for tracking deficiencies and sending reports, but FW at least isn't good at tracking progress.
