Reviews of CosmoLex:
Cosmolex quietly released their "Canadian Update" and I have now successfully transferred all my accounting to their system and it is fantastic. Finally, there is a complete replacement for PCLaw or Clio + QB.I encourage any Canadian Lawyers to give it a go.
I'm using CosmoLex but cannot compare to Rocket Matter. I do a lot of real estate closings and only a little bit of time-billing, but from what I can see the program is rock solid. On the real estate closing side, CL imports my ledgers from EasySoft so I don't have to re-enter checks. Also, the cloud-based aspect is awesome because even from a closing in someone else's office, I can change/print checks from anyone's computer. On the time billing side, it's very simple to add a time card and print an invoice.
As a Canadian, Cosmolex is problematic because it doesn't support accrual based accounting.... Also I can't seem to figure out how to track my input tax credits.
