Snap Engage offers an inexpensive way to engage my visitors providing an experience they will receive no where else. The cost is minimal compared to the benefits and contracts I’ve snagged since adding the service.I can see Snap Engage useful for the HR, recruiting, and talent management industries whether you are a HR service provider or vendor, an internal HR services center for employees, or a recruiter fielding candidate question on the company career site.

I switched to SnapEngage, which also has a proactive chat feature that lets you automatically initiate chats on certain URLs and such. It just worked and, I think, was cheaper too... been using it ever since.

After a month or two, I decided to try SnapEngage, same issue with the non refreshing status if there is not a full page refresh. I’ve contacted their support (via chat, compared to email for the other situation). They immediately understood the situation and told me right away that their widget was indeed not going to refresh properly within a single page JavaScript app. They have a workaround for that situation though that involve calling some JavaScript to force an update etc.I was really impressed by their app and UI, I was sad that it did not work out straight out of the box.

If you are 100% focused on lead gen I would not use Intercom. Instead consider a tool like SnapEngage. They do proactive chat really well. In general I have found that the UX of chat tools suck – theirs is not too bad.
