Updates:

Updated 4th of May 2020

Included comparisons with FreeConferenceCall, GoToMeeting, and Zoom, and added new pricing and an in-depth review with highlights and shortcomings.

Pros and Cons:

Pros

  • Multiple plans for growing businesses.
  • Includes all standard conferencing features.

Cons

  • No video conferencing.
  • Only integrates with Outlook.
  • Allows up to 25 participants only.

Review:

Intercall is a solid product that offers useful features for businesses in need of quality web and audio conferencing. However, the software is not feature-packed and user-friendly, often slowing down and freezing.

Highlights:

Businesses with a remote and on-the-go workforce enjoy Intercall's online meetings and VoIP capabilities. Intercall provides multiple plans for growing businesses. With this conference platform, users have the option of operating both reservationless and operator-assisted conference calling.

Shortcomings:

A notable feature missing from Intercall is video meetings. When compared to plans offered by GoToMeeting and Zoom, Intercall is lacking many sought-after features as well, such as breakout rooms, whiteboarding, and personal links. Despite the lack of collaborative features, Intercall is still $5.00 more than both GoToMeeting and Zoom’s most expensive plan.

Reputation:

Intercall is not rated on the Better Business Bureau website. Intercall has limited reviews available online. We did find 56 reviews on G2 with an average rating of 4.5 stars.

Positive reviews were mostly centered on the excellent customer service, recording and playback features, and the ability to connect to any location. Negative reviews were few but the couple we found highlighted the occasional unexpected charges and long connection process.

Package Comparison:

Intercall vs. Zoom vs. GoToMeeting:

Intercall only offers plans for audio and web conferencing, with prices ranging between $19.00 and $39.00 per month. Unlike Intercall, both Zoom and GoToMeeting include video, web, and audio conferencing.

All three competitors offer a plan priced at $19.00 per month. But while Zoom and GoToMeeting’s plans are the respective companies’ second-tier plans, Intercall's plan is entry-level and only includes audio conferencing features with a free mobile app, meeting scheduler, and dedicated dial-in.

Intercall's audio and web conferencing plans range between $25.00 and $39.00 per month, making it at least $5.00 more expensive than Zoom and GoToMeeting’s most expensive plans. Compared to its competitors, GoToMeeting is the best value for money thanks to its feature-rich yet affordable plans.

Users enjoy video conferencing, unlimited meetings, meeting locks, and drawing tools. Zoom shares a similar feature and price range, offering breakout rooms, cloud storage, and call recording.
