BOA Travel Rewards is an extremely mediocre 1.5% card unless you have a high balance with BOA/Merrill and are a Preferred Rewards Platinum or Platinum Honors member. That pushes the card to a noteable 2.25% or an impressive 2.625% respectively. Most folks here would not consider $200 worth their time for a hard pull for a card generally not worth putting regular spend on.

I have this card and it was really good for me when I got it. At the time I only had a Discover and was building up my credit history. I wanted a card with no foreign transaction fee that would be more widely accepted internationally than Discover. I'm not aware of a better no AF card with no foreign transaction fee.

Not a terrible card exactly but not great. The arrival+ is basically better than two of these cards for only one account. This card is really only useful once you have gone through all the other options that you can get better bonuses on, or if you need to slow down with other banks. Since BoA doesnt have much for great churning cards their cards (this, AS, maybe VS cards are not bad) can be useful when Chase, citi, whoever stop approving you from so many cards.

I used Bank of America (BoA) travel rewards card for 3+ years. its worth to have points to travel domestic. When i fly to EU or Asia, Australia, its useless. I m travelling since after college, for work. Then there is cash rewards card of BoA, it felt good for another few years. Until i found digital wallets (its still new concept to US) but they pay 6% to 7% on what i save, points get converted in cash rewards. US banks are still in plastic age aka having fun with enormous fees and penalties.
